Wilkes B. Richardson was born on 31 August 1804 in Baltimore County, Maryland.1,2,3 He and Ruth R. Bozman were married on 6 March 1832 in Morgan County, Ohio.4,5 He and Elizabeth Ann Wallace were licensed to wed on 20 January 1849 in Morgan County, Ohio, with the consent of her father, but apparently did not marry at this time.6 He and Elizabeth Ann Wallace were married on 22 April 1851 in Morgan County, Ohio.7 He died on 20 June 1888, at age 83.8 He was buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery (Bristol Township), Morgan County, Ohio.9 Wilkes and Ruth were probably first cousins ... Wilkes was head of household on the 1840 US Census taken in Bloom Township, Morgan County, Ohio. The household consisted of two males under five, one male 30 to 40, two females under five, one female five to ten, and one female 30 to 40.10 His tax records, with the exception of one for Bristol Township, were for Bloom Township.11,12,13 Wilkes was named as an heir in the will of Mary Bozman on 4 December 1841. The will stated she was "of Brooke County" and was witnessed by William H. Bozman and John Royston Bozman. She left bequests to Thomas Kelly, Eliza Cotton, Wilkes B. Richardson, Reynolds Steen, Susanna Steen, Karenhappuch Steen, and Frances Richardson.14 Wilkes appeared on the 1850 US Census recorded on 4 October 1850 in Bloom Township, Morgan County, Ohio, with Mary Elizabeth, Kerenhopoch, Ruth, Frances, and Wilkes.15 Wilkes was mentioned in the will of Wilkes Bozman 30 March 1855 Morgan County, Ohio.16 Wilkes and Elizabeth appeared on the 1860 US Census recorded on 19 June 1860 in Bloom Township, Morgan County, Ohio, with Frances, Vincint, Anna, and Rosa who was probably Isolina. Also in the house were Thomas Bozman and George Wallace. Isoline was probably the baby listed as Rosa. Also listed was George Wallace age 1817 Wilkes and Elizabeth appeared on the 1870 US Census recorded on 9 June 1870 in Bloom Township, Morgan County, Ohio, with Vincent, Anna, Isolina, Mary Jane, Cleason, and Madison.18 He was a farmer. His occupation was given as farmer on the 1850 through 1880 censuses in 1880 in Bloom Township.19 Wilkes and Elizabeth appeared on the 1880 US Census recorded on 11 June 1880 in Bloom Township, Morgan County, Ohio, with Anna, Wilkie J. Cleason, Madison, Birdie, and Mary Jane.19 He signed a will on 4 August 1883.20 He had an estate probated on 30 June 1888 in Probate Court, McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio.20

John Royston and Ruth McClung were married on 18 December 1784 in Baltimore County, Maryland.1,2 He died about 1822.3 He was the ward of Benjamin Royston on 11 March 1778 in Baltimore County, Maryland.4 He recieved his share of his father's personal estate and land and a 9 year old male slave appraised at 250 pounds in Baltimore County, Maryland, on 11 March 1778.5 He was guardian of his brother Thomas Royston in 1789 in Baltimore County, Maryland. William Royston and Edward Bosman were securities.6 John was head of household on the 1790 US Census taken in Mine Run Hundred, Baltimore County, Maryland. The household consisted of 2 males 16 and older, 3 males under 16, 2 females, and 2 slaves.7 John witnessed the will of Edward Bozman on 12 October 1796 in Baltimore.8 John was surety for the probate of Edward Bozman 6 September 1797 Baltimore, Maryland. His sons James and William Bozman were appointed executors and John Royston and Greenbury Wyle were appointed sureties8,9 John was head of household on the 1810 US Census taken in Mine Run Hundred, Baltimore County, Maryland. R. McMahan testified as witness to the will. Sarah Mercer testified that she signed as a witness to her father's codicil, but stated she didn't see him sign and she was unable to say if he was of sound mind and if he acted without undo restraint. William Philo was sent to get a deposition from the N. Besauson who witnessed both. He testified to seeing Philip sign both and to Phillip being of sound mind and acting freely. Cynthia Johnston was born on 26 April 1817 in Ohio.1,2 She and James H. Scott were married on 17 April 1838 in Wood County, Ohio.3 She and Edward Coyne were married on 2 April 1853 in Wood County, Ohio.4 She died on 7 May 1864, at age 47.2 She was buried in Sargent Cemetery, Liberty Township, Wood County, Ohio.5,2 She quit claimed property to John Johnston on 4 March 1850 in Wood County, Ohio.6 Cynthia appeared on the 1850 US Census recorded on 31 August 1850 in Portage Township, Wood County, Ohio, with her children Matilda, Catherine, William, and John. Cynthia was enumerated as Cynthia Scott. The household was listed directly after the family of John Johnston.1 Edward and Cynthia appeared on the 1860 US Census recorded in 1860 in Portage Township, Wood County, Ohio, with Cynthia's children Catherine, William, and John and their children Cynthia, Sarah, and Lucy. Edward was listed as Edwin Cain.
