Indenture George Brantingham to Leonard Shroyer, 10 Febuary 1819
This indenture made this tenth day of second month in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between George Brantingham and Phoebe his wife in Stark County of the State of Ohio of the one part and Leonard Shroyer of the same county and state of the other part witnessith that the said George Brantingham and Phoebe his wife for and in consideration of the sum of twenty dollars to him the said George in hand paid by the said Leonard Shroyer doth hereby acknowledge Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Leonard Shroyer and his heirs and assigns one Lot of ground in the Town of Calcutta in the Fractional section No 25 in Township nine, and Range nine in Stark County and State of Ohio which said Lot is distinguished on the map of said Town as recorded in the Recorders Office for the County of Columbiana fifty seven To Have and to Hold the said Lot of ground with all the privileges and appurtenances to him the said Leonard Shroyer and his heirs and assigns that he the said George Brantingham doth hereby covenant for himself and his heirs to and with the said Leonard Shroyer that he the said George Brantingham and his heirs this Lot of ground hereby granted to the said Leonard Shroyer and his heirs and assigns will forever warrant and defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said George Brantingham and Phebe his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written

On the tenth day of February one thousand and nineteen before me the undersigned one of the Justices of the Peace for the County of Stark aforesaid came the above named George and Phebe his wife and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be their act and deed for the purpose therein contained. And the said Phebe being examined separate and apart from her said husband did declare that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord seal and as her act and deed deliver the above deed of conveyance without any coercion or compulsion from her said Husband Given under my hand and seal the day above written
