Deed Phillip to John and William Chapman
Know all men by these presents that we Phillip Shroyer and Salinda Shroyer wife of the said Phillip Shroyer of the County of Wood and State of Ohio in consideration of six hundred and twenty five dollars in hand paid by John and William Chapman of the same place have bargained and sold and do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said John and William Chapman their heirs and assigns forever the following premises situate in the County of Wood & State of Ohio. And bound and _____ as follows The South West of the south west quarter of Section No. six (6)Township No. four (4) North of Range No. Twelve (12) containing fifty acres and 40/100 of acre. Also the North West quarter of the North West quarter of section No. Seven in Township four North Range ___ Twelve containing forty nine acres and forty six hundredths of an acre. To have and to hold said premises with the appurtances unto the said J. & W. Chapman their heirs and assigns forever. And said Phillip Shroyer for himself and heirs doth hereby covenant with the said J. & W. Chapman their heirs and assigns that he is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid that the premises aforesaid are free and clear from all encumbrances whatsoever and that he will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said J. & W. Chapman their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof the said Phillip Shroyer & Salinda Shroyer have hereunto set their hands and seals this sixth day of February one thousand eight hundred and fifty (1850)

State of Ohio Wood County ss. Before me T. G. Frisbie a Justice of the Peace in and for said county personally appeared the within Shroyer & Salinda Shroyer wife of the said Phillip Shroyer and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed and the said Salinda Shroyer being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said deed made known to her by me, she then declared that she did voluntary sign seal and acknowledge the same, and that she is still satisfied with this.
