Deed Charles Yonkers to Philip Shroyer

Know all men, that I, Charles Yonker of Portage, Wood County, Ohio in consideration of three hundred and ten dollars to me paid by Phillip Shroyer of the same place, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby bargain, sell & convey to the said grantee and his heirs and assigns forever, the following real estate viz. The North East quarter of South East quarter of Section three (3) Township four (4) North of Range eleven (11) East except one fourth of an acre reserved for school house, also one fourth of an acre reserved for a burying ground. Containing forty acres, more or less, together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging. To have and to hold the same to the said Phillip Shroyer and his heirs and assigns forever Hereby Covenanting that the title so conveyed is free, clear, and unencumbered and that he will Warrant and Defend the same against all claim whatsoever. And Barbara Yonker, wife of the said Charles Yonkers in consideration of one dollar to her in hand paid, do remise, release and forever quit claim unto the said grantee, all her right by way of dower or otherwise, in and to the above granted ___ments. Be it remembered that on the 28th day of August AD 1854, before me, the subscriber, came Charles Yonker, the grantor; in the above conveyance, and acknowledged the same to be his voluntary act and deed, for the uses and purposes therein expressed. And likewise came Barbara Yonker, wife of the said Chas Yonker, and being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the above deed being by me made known to her, then and there acknowledged the same to be her act and deed, by her voluntarily executed without fear of or compulsion from her said husband, and that she is still satisfied therewith. In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed my seal, on the day and year last aforesaid. Samuel Johnson J. P.
