Frances was named as an heir in the will of Mary Bozman on 4 December 1841. The will stated she was "of Brooke County" and was witnessed by William H. Bozman and John Royston Bozman. She left bequests to Thomas Kelly, Eliza Cotton, Wilkes B. Richardson, Reynolds Steen, Susanna Steen, Karenhappuch Steen, and Frances Richardson.5 William and Frances appeared on the 1850 US Census recorded on 26 August 1850 in Cross Creek, Washington County, Pennsylvania.3 William and Frances appeared on the 1860 US Census recorded on 31 July 1860 in Jefferson Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.6

He made purchases at the vendue of James Cochran in Donegal Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, on 28 August 1818.4 James was head of household on the 1820 US Census taken in East Behlehem Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania. The household consisted of one male 26 to 44, one woman 26 to 44, and two boys under 10.5 James purshased 13 acres from Archibald Mains. He was identified as James Faunce of Washington County, Pennsylvania on 13 March 1823 in Middle Wheeling Creek, Ohio County, Virginia.6 He worked on a barn for James Cochran in May 1825. worked on a barn for James Cochran7 James was deeded lots 12 and 13 in Elizabeth Town by Elizabeth Tomlinson on 1 May 1832 in Ohio County, Virginia.8 James was deeded lot 9 in Elizabeth Town by Jesse Tomlinson on 16 August 1832 in Ohio County, Virginia.9 James was on the in 1836 tax list in Marshall County, Virginia. He was listed for one white tithable and three horses10 James was head of household on the 1840 US Census taken in Marshall County, Virginia. The household consisted of one male 40 to 50, one female 5 to 10, two females 15 to 20 and one female 50 to 60. The household was recorded two below Robert Cochrane and immediately before Wm. Cochrane11 James was on the in 1840 tax list in Marshall County, Virginia.12 He was a wheelwright in 1850.3 James was on the in 1850 tax list in Marshall County, Virginia.13 James and Elisabeth appeared on the 1850 US Census recorded on 7 November 1850 in Elizabeth Town, Marshall County, Virginia, Also in the household were Mary Faunce, age 25, and Mary A. Way, age 16. This household was recorded immediately before the Robert Cochrane household.1
