Ernest Thatcher Conwell was born on 19 June 1875 in Zanesville.3,4 He and Eleanor Crumbaker were married about 1902.5,6 He died on 11 June 1933, at age 57, in Brush Creek Township, Muskingum County.4 He was buried on 13 June 1933 in Greenwood Cemetery (Zanesville), Muskingum County, Ohio.4
He was a banker in 1900.7 He was employed in insurance in 1910.5 Ernest and Eleanor appeared on the 1910 US Census recorded on 26 April 1910 in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio.5 He registered for the World War I draft in September 1918, in Muskingum County. five feet five inches tall, weighed 172 pounds, and had brown eyes and hair2 Ernest and Eleanor appeared on the 1920 US Census recorded on 7 January 1920 in 151 Sixth Street, Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio.8 He was a merchandise broker in 1918, 1928, and in 1930.2,8,9 Ernest and Eleanor appeared on the 1930 US Census recorded on 7 April 1930 in 151 South Sixth Street, Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio.10
