John Johnson Guardian
In the matter of the guardianship of Sarah Coyne.
Probate Court Wood County Ohio.
Please before Geo. C. Phelps judge of the Court of Probate within and for the County of Wood and State of Ohio at a term of the Probate Court began and held at the Courthouse in Bowling Green Wood County Ohio on the 31 day of July AD 1876.
( J2 p.394)Be it remembered that heretofore to wit on the 6th day of August AD 1864 the following proceedings were had and journal entry made to wit John Johnson guardian of Cyntha and Sarah Coyne August 6th 1864. On motion and the proper showing being made to the Court, the Court appoint John Johnson guardian for Sarah Coyne aged about 6 years and Cynthia Coyn aged about 9 years, orphans of Edward and Cynthia Coyn, deceased. The Court thereupon ordered the said John Johnson to give bond in the sum of twelve hundred dollars. Thereupon said guardian gave bond conditioned according to law and the order of the Court with Jacob Eberly his surety which is accepted and Letters of a___ thereupon issued.
(J3 p. 154) And afterward to wit on the 24 day of May AD 1867 the following proceedings were had and journal entry made to wit John Johnson guardian for Cyntha & Sarah Coyne May 24 1867, this day came John Johnson guardian for Cyntha and Sarah Coyne and filed an inventory of the estate of his wards, and the same having been examined and approved, is ordered to be recorded.
(J3, p. 155) And afterward to wit on the 24 day of May 1867 the following proceedings were had and journal entry made to wit John Johnson guardian for Sarah Coyn 1st report. This day came John Johnson guardian for Sarah Coyn and filed his first report and the Court having carefully examined the same find it to be correct and that said guardian has in his hand the sum of $487.64 dollars, and on motion said guardian is granted the ____ ___ of N__ Years.
And afterward to wit on the 19 day of December AD 1873 the following proceedings were had and journal entry made to wit John Johnson guardian vs. Cyntha Coyn & Sarah Coyn his wards. Probate Court Wood County Ohio December 19 1873. This day came John Johnson guardian of Cyntha Coyn & Sarah Coyn and filed in the court his final account with Cyntha and his 2 partial with Sarah it is ordered that said account be act for hearing on the 16 day of Jany 1874 at 10 A.M. and the notice thereof be given by publication in the Wood County Sentinel three weeks previous to the time set for hearing of said account. (J5 p. 167) And afterward to wit on the 16 day of January 1874, the following proceedings were had and journal entry made to wit. John Johnson guardian vs. Cyntha Coyn and Sarah Coyn, his ward. Probate Court Wood County Ohio January 16 1874. This day this cause came on and was heard upon the account and vouchers of John Johnson guardian of Cyntha Coyn and Sarah Coyn, theretofore filed in this Court for final account with Cyntha Coyn and 2 partial with Sarah and no exceptions thereto being filed and the Court being satisfied that said accounts are correct do find that there is in the hands of said guardian the sum of seventy five & 88/100 dollars belonging to his said ward Cynthia Coyn which amount said guardian is hereby ordered to pay over to said Cyntha Coyn and on compliance with this order is hereby fully discharged from any further responsibility as guardian of said Cynthia Coyn and the Court do further find there is in said guardians hands belonging to Sarah Coyn the sum of seven hundred and thirteen & 19/100 dollars and this cause is continued as to Sarah Coyne.
And afterward to wit on the 3 day of July AD 1876 the following proceeding were had and journal entry made to wit John Johnson guardian of Sarah E. Coyn vs. his ward. Probate Court Wood County Ohio July 3 1876. This day came John Johnson guardian of Sarah Coyn and filed his final account. It is therefore ordered that said account to set for hearing on the 31 day of July 1876 at 10 o’clock a.m. and that notice be given by publication in the Wood County Sentinel a newspaper printed in and of general circulation in Wood County three weeks successively previous to the time set for the hearing of the said account and this cause is continued.
And afterward to wit on the 31 day of July AD 1876 the following final account was filed in this Court. Final settlement

Guardians affidavit to account
The State of Ohio Wood County SS I John Johnson guardian of Sarah E. Coyn do solemnly swear that the above account and the schedules therein referred to contain a full true and correct account of said guardianship in all respects to the best of my knowledge and belief. John Johnson

And afterward to wit on the 31 day of July AD 1876 the following proceedings were had and journal entry made to wit John Johnson guardian of Sarah E. Coyn vs. his ward. Probate Court Wood County Ohio July 31st 1876.
This day the Court examined the account of John Johnson guardian of Sarah E. Coyn heretofore filed in this Court for final settlement and finding said account correct do affirm and confirm the same and finding that said Sarah E. Coyn is now of the age of legal majority and that she has received and receipted for the whole amount of the estate in the hands of said John Johnson which receipt are filed in this court It is therefore ordered that said guardian be and hereby is fully discharged from any further responsibility as guardian of said Sarah E. Coyn.
