Wednesday Rites For C. O. Culver
Funeral services for Charles O. Culver, 68, of 740 Adair avenue, who died suddenly Monday morning at 9:30 o’clock following a heart attack, will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the late residence. Rev. William F. Schuler, pastor of the Forest Avenue Presbyterian church, will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Mr. Culver, a well known resident of the city for 40 years, was stricken while reading his morning newspaper and death followed before medical aid could be summoned. He had been in his usual health, his death coming as a shock.
A traveling salesman for a number of years with the Wheeling Corrugating company, he later engaged in the insurance business. He was a native of Reinersville in Morgan county.
Prominent in Masonry, he was a member of Cyrene Commandery No. 10, Knights Templars Amity lodge, No. 5, F. & A. M. and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Active in the affairs of the Forest Avenue Presbyterian church, he served as an elder there.
Besides his widow, Mrs. Judith Culver, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Charles Ferguson, of Belvidere, Ill.
The body was removed to the home Monday evening from the Mader-Peoples funeral home.
