Deed Mathew Stacy to William Stacy
Deed M. Stacy to W. Stacy. This indenture made this tenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirteen between Mathew Stacy and Jane his wife of the Town of New Lisbon in the county of Columbiana and State of Ohio of the one part and William Stacy of the town, county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Mathew Stacy and Jane his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to them the said Mathew Stacy and Jane his wife in hand paid by William Stacy aforesaid the receipt whereof the said doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully paid and satisfied have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said William Stacy and his heirs the south half of lot number two hundred and twelve lying and being in the town of New Lisbon in the county and state aforesaid which will make thirty feet of front on Market Street and one hundred and eighty feet back parallel with the line of said lot to an alley on the west end of the lot aforesaid together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said William Stacy and to his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the said Mathew Stacy and Jane his wife have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.

Be it remembered that on the tenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirteen the within named Mathew Stacy & Jane his wife the grantors to the Instrument of writing appeared in person before Alex Snodgrass one of the Justices of the peace in and for said county and severally acknowledged the foregoing deed of conveyance to be their act deed for the purposes therein expressed. Jane the wife of the said Mathew being by me examined apart from her said husband declared that of her free will and accord she did sign seal execute and as her act and deed delivered the same without the coercion or compulsion of her said husband. Given under my hand & seal the date above written.
