The Funeral of Mrs. Farre
The funeral services held for Mrs. Hattie Whitaker Farre, on Tuesday afternoon, were very appropriate to her life and sentiment, and a tender memorial of her friends to her. Rev. T. B. Roberts conducted the religious services reading a chapter and applying it to her life as she lived it, and including in this the testimonial of love as expressed by many friends. Mr. Geo. M. Scott read Tennyson’s Crossing the Bar, and Mrs. C. L. Stanbery sand a solo “There Will Be No Night There”, which had been Mrs. Farre’s figt to Mrs. Stanbery and a solo she loved. The services were simple, but all friends felt their singular appropriateness.
The remains were laid in rest in the McConnelsville Cemetery.
