Mathias Mounts to John Cochran
Articles of agreement made and concluded on this twenty seventh day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and four by and between Mathias Mounts of Taylor Town in Washington County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania of the one part and John Cochran of Washington in the County and State aforesaid of the other part (witnesseth) that the sd Mathias Mounts for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and sixty dollars to him paid [not readable 2 lines] tract of land laying and being on waters of Buffalo and a sd [unreadable] in Gates Andrew By_s Wm Hawkins John Pat___ of the heirs of David M____ [deceased containing one hundred] and thirty acres of land to the [blurred] with all the appurtenances there unto belonging and the sd Mathias Mounts doth hereby for himself his heirs and administrators or assigns to make or cause to be executed to the John Cochran his heirs and assigns as good and sufficient deed of conveyance for the above described tract of land at or upon the first day of February 1805 and the said John Cochran doth hereby covenant bond himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns to pay to the sd Mathias Mounts the before mentioned sum of three hundred and sixty dollars in the manner herein mentioned to (witt) three hundred dollars to be paid this present day and the further sum of sixty dollars to be paid at or upon the first day of February 1805 at the time of delivery of a conveyance for sd land and for the true performance of every of the above articles we the above named parties do bond ourselves our heirs and assigns to each other in the [final?] sums of six hundred dollars and in witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the date above written

I [give] all my right and [titel] of the within Artikel unto James Cochran senior this seventh day of April one thousand eight hundred and six Given under my hand------I do hereby assign over all my right title interest and claim of and in the within Article to James Cochran senior for value received of him this 17th day of April 1806 Given under my hand and seal the date above written John Cochran

Washington County ss Before me Robert Stevenson Esq one of the Justices of the peace for said County of Washington came James Stevenson and being sworn according to law saith that he drew the above article between Matthias Mounts & John Cochran and saw both of them sign & seal said article for the purpose within mentions (and was a witness to said article) and likewise drew the assignment in presents of Matthias Mounts on said article from John Cohran to James Cohran sr and likewise was a witness to said assignment on said article J Stevenson
