Mrs. Hugh M. Cochran died at her home on Kennebec hill, Saturday morning, at one oÆclock. She had not been, for some time, in the best of health, her illness recently being more pronounced and culminating in a stroke of paralysis, Friday morning, death ensuing as above stated. Mrs. CochranÆs maiden name was Mary Royston Bozman. She was the daughter of the late John R. Bozman, and had lived all her life at McConnelsville. She was born on December 10, 1835, and was one of four children, of whom, Cleason B. Bozman, is the only one surviving. The other two were Wilkes Bozman and Mrs. Anna Koons. She is also survived by two half-sisters - Miss Isabel Bozman and Mrs. Lizzie McLain. In 1853 she was married to Hugh M. Cochran, who survives her. They were the parents of ten children, eight of whom are living, as follows: Mary L. Cochran, Ella wife of F. M. Beckett, of McConnelsville; Fannie, wife of Charles Thompson, of Zanesville; John B. and Milton A. of San Diego, Cal; Hugh M., of San Francisco, Cal; Wm. E., employed in the Signal Service and stationed at Jalo, Jalo, Philippine Islands; and Wayland, at home. One daughter, Miss Anna C. Cochran, who had been a prominent teacher in the McConnelsville schools, died some years ago, and another daughter, Elizabeth, died when a child. Mrs. Cochran, many years ago, united with the McConnelsville Baptist church. Funeral services were held at the residence Monday afternoon, and were conducted by Rev. J. M. Shafer. The pall bearers were Messrs. F. M. Beckett, Charles Thompson, Ambrose Middleton, John Bozman, C. W. Adams and R. K. Brown, all relatives of the deceased. The singers were Mrs. C. H. Morris, Mrs. Ambrose Middleton, F. M. Beckett and E. J. Arrick.
