Announcement Party Given At Nelson Home
Miss Louise Richardson Will Be Bride of Kenneth Thompson; Other Society
Miss Vesta Nelson entertained at her home on North Maple avenue, with a bridge party Thursday evening at which announcement was made of the engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Louise Richardson to Kenneth Thompson. The wedding will take place the first of August.
Mrs. Glen Evans was awarded first prize, a corsage of yellow rose buds, in which was concealed a small card bearing the announcement. Mrs. Alice Hamilton received the consolation award. Duringthe late evening, lunch was served at the card tables and the predominating colors, yellow and white, so attractively used in the decorations of the house, were also in evidence in the delicious lunch. The yellow and white ice cream was molded into engagement rings.
Miss Richardson is deservedly popular with many Zanesville friends, whom she has won by her pleasing personality. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Richardson, North Euclid avenue, is a graduate of Lash high school and is now bookkeeper for the Quality market, North Seventh street.
Mr. Thompson is one of the best known members of Lash high school faculty members [sic] of Lash high school department. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Thompson, Linden avenue and is a graduate of Lash high school and Ohio State university, Columbus. Mr. Thompson is a member of local chapter of Phi Sigma Chi fraternity. He and Miss Richardson have hosts of local friends who will learn with pleasure of their approaching marriage and will hasten to extend best wishes.
