George E Sevall,a descendant of Bloom township pioneers, died at 12:30 p.m.,Saturday the the Parmiter Nursing Home in Malta where he had been a patient for the past two years.Born in Bloom township on Feb 5,1880,Mr Sevall was the son of John and Isolena Richardson Sevall.His mother who lived to be near a century of age ,was the last of the children of the the Bloom township pioneer and large landowner Wilkes Richardson.
Although he residend in Bloom township much of his lifetime,many of his later years were spent at Roseville where he followed the vocation of stationary engineer in the potteries.A Republican, he served at one time as central committeeman from Bloom township.Mr Sevall was a 50 yr member of Corinthian Lodge No 111,F.&A.M.; belonged to the Scottish Rite and to Beech Grove Grange.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Cleo Harris of Pennsville,Rt. 1,and Mrs Claribel McDaniel of Blue Rock, Rt.1 ; and six grandchildren.His wife, the former Emma Shell,an infant son and a sister,Mrs Maretta White preceded him in death.Funeral services were held at the Cannon chapel at Roseville at 1 p.m.,Tuesday,Rev John Sutton officiating .Burial was made at Duncan Falls.
