Baird to Head Brown’s Campaign
Columbus, O., Jan. 19 – Former Congressman Joseph E. Baird, Bowling Green, will be chairman of the committee to direct the governorship campaign of Secretary of State Clarence J. Brown, it was announced today.
Baird, prior to his election to Congress in 1928 from the 13th District, was for mare than six years assistant secretary of state including two years under the present secretary. He resigned to take his seat in Congress March 1, 1929.
At the 1930 election, Baird was defeated for a second term in Congress.
