Deed of Cimon Shroyer to John Mahoney
Know all men by these presents that we Cimon Shroyer and Rachel Shroyer of the County of Wood Ohio, in consideration of the sum of fourteen hundred dollars in hand paid by John Mahony of the same place have bargained and sold, and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John Mahony his heirs and assigns forever, the following premises situate in the County of Wood and State of Ohio and described as follows, to wit, The West half of the North East quarter of Section ten (10) in Township four (4) North, of Range twelve, in the district of land subject to sale at Bucyrus Ohio. Containing eighty acres, be the same more or less. To have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said John Mahony, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Cimon Shroyer for himself and heirs doth hereby covenant with said John Mahony, his heirs and assigns that he is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid; that the premises are free & clear from all encumbrances whatsoever; and that he will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtances, unto the said John Mahony, his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hand and seal this 16 day of February AD one thousand eight hundred and fifty four. Executed in the presence of Wm. F. Bryant Charles F. Murphy

State of Ohio County ss. Before me W. F. Bryant Justice of the Peace in and for said County, personally appeared the above named Cimon Shroyer and Rachel Shroyer and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed. And the said Rachel Shroyer, being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said instrument made known to her by me she then declared that she did voluntarily sign, seal, and acknowledge the same this 16 th day of Feb. AD 1854 W. F. Bryant J. P.
