Quit Claim James and Susan Johnston to John Johnston

Know all men by these presents that we James Johnston and Susan Johnston wife of said James Johnston in consideration of the sum of twenty three dollars in hand paid by John Johnston do hereby remise release and forever quit claim unto the said John Johnston his heirs and assigns forever all our title interest and estate legal and equitable in the following premises with the appurtenances situate in the County of Wood and State of Ohio and bounded and described as follows. The west half of the south east quarter and the south half of the south west quarter of section two and township four north of range eleven containing one hundred and sixty acres. In testimony wereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 5th day of March A.D. 1850.

The State of Ohio Wood County ss. Before me Nathan Minard a Justice of the peace in and for said County personally appeared James Johnston and Susan Johnston wife of the said James Johnston and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed the said Susan being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents being by me made know to her she then and there acknowledged the same to be her free act and deed for the purpose therein ex____ and is still satisfied therewith this 5th day of March A.D. 1850.
