Court of Common Please August Term 1827 and now to wit on the 18th day of August 1827 The last will and testament of James Brady deceased is produced and proved on the _____ of John Moon and Abram Wa__ the subscribing witnesses the same from whose testimon;y it appears that the said will was duly executed and that the testator at the time of executing the same was of full age and of sound mind and memory and not under any , which _____ will is ordered to be recorded (272)
Will
In the name of God ______ I James Brady of Muskingum County Rich hill township _____ing the uncertainty of the mortal life and being of sound and ______ mind and memery blessed be Almighty God in the same do make and publish this my last will and testement in manner and form following (that is to say) visit . I give and bequest unto my beloved wife Lydia Brady all and solely the use of all my lands tenements and all moveable property th____ owned by me during her natural life__ subject to the regulation hereinafter mentioned (that is) I allow my oldest son Cleason Brady to hold his improvement on my place on which he now lives, two years from A______ free of rent, and also I give and bequeath unto the above son, Cleason one hundred dollar to be paid him ____ years from this date. And unto my second son Levi Brady I give and bequeath one hundred dollars to be paid him in one year from this date. I further give and devise to my youngest son Thomas Brady his (home?). as_____ all that my m_____ aor tenement, situated, lying in Muskingum county Richhill Township (to ib) the north east quarter of section thirty, range eleven, Township_____ _____ with all my personal estate goods and chattels of what kind and nature s____ to hold, to have,___ said Thomas Brady his heirs and assigns forever. My son Thomas is not to have the above d_____ bequeaths until the death of my beloved wife Lydia. I further give and bequeath to my _____ daughter Elizabeth Turna the sum of fifth dollars to be paid her in twelve months of the decease of my beloved wife. I also give and bequeath to my second daughter Susannah L____ the sum of fifth dollars to be paid her at the same period of the oldest. I also give and bequeath to my third daughter Prisilla Boasman the sum of fifty dollars to be paid her on twelve months after the death of my beloved wife. I now appoint my son Thomas Brady executor and my beloved wife Lydia Brady executrive of this my last will and testement thereby recanting all former wills by me made.
