Curtis C. Shroyer, 79, former office manager and active coin collector, died Friday in Parkview Hospital.
Mr. Shroyer, who lived at 1920 Collingwood Blvd., was a sales representative for General Electric Supply Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1954. He was also an estimator and office manager of Sabroske Electric, In. in Fremont, for 10 years, retiring in 1964.
Mr. Shroyer server two years as president, two years as vice president, and nine years as governor of the American Numismatic Association. He was also a past president of the Central States Numismatic Association and the first life member of the Professional Numismatists Guild.
He was one of the founders and a two-term president of the Toledo Coin Club.
Mr. Shroyer was a member of several state and Canadian coin clubs; First Presbyterian Church of Fremont, Blue Lodge F&AM of Weston, Scottish Rite, Zenobia Shrine, and the Adrian, Mich. Elks Lodge.
Surviving are his wife Myrtle, sister , Mrs. Mildred Snyder, and brothers , Willard and Emery.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Foth Mortuary, Sylvania Avenue, where the body will be after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the American Numismatic Association headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo.
