Robert Ingram to Roswell Whipple
Know all men by these presents that I Robert Ingram and Hannah my wife in the county of Morgan and State of Ohio for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to us paid in hand before the ensealing hereof by Roswell Whipple in the County of Morgan and State of Ohio the ____ whereof we do hereby acknowledge and are therewith contented and satisfied have given granted bargained sold ___ed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do __ly fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain sell assign convey and confirm unto the said Roswell Whipple his heirs and assigns forever the southwest quarter of section No twelve, Township No eleven and Range No twelve of lands sold at Zanesville. Beginning at the southwest corner of said section North one hundred and sixty one __rches to a beach[?] and post - east one hundred and sixty two ______ to the center of said section south one hundred and sixty one _____ to white oak and sugertree – west to the place of beginning – containing one hundred and sixty one acres be the same more or less of land sold at Zanesville – To have and to hold the said bargained and granted primises with all the appurtenances and privileges, and commodities to the same belonging, or in anywise appertaining unto the said Roswell Whipple his heirs and assigns forever to him and his own proper use and behoof forever, as a good, perfect and absolute estate in fee simple and we the same Robert Ingram and Hannah my wife do for ourselves heirs executors and administrators do covenant with the said Robert Ingram and Hannah his wife their heirs and assigns that they are lawfully seized in fee of the said granted premises that they are free from all encumbrances, and that they do warrant and defend the same to him and them for forever against the lawful clames of all persons.
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this second day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five_

Personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for said County the above named Robert Ingram and Hannah his wife and she being examined separate and apart from her said husband doth declare that she voluntary and of her own _____without fear or coersion of her husband did and now doth ______and sealing thereof .
