Funeral of Abram Whipple
The funeral of Mr. Abram Whipple was held at the family residence Saturday afternoon at 1:30 conducted by his pastor, Rev. T. B. Roberts. The exercises were in every way in keeping with the life and character of this Christian man who had lived so quietly and yet so earnestly that all who knew him felt the Godly influence of his life and character. The hymns were sung by a quartet composed of Miss Mildred Montgomery, Miss Winnie Dover, Mr. F. M. Becket, Mr. G. M. Scott. The pall bearers were J. C. Whipple, Everett W. Whipple, J. B. Farra, C. R. Brent, W. A. Cosgrave, F. E. Whipple. Quite a large number of friends from a distance were present: Mr. and Mrs. John Danford, Wooster, O.; Mr. Wm. T. Blake, Marietta; Mr. J. C. Whipple, Chesterland; Everett W. Whipple, Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Uphold, J. W. Cosgrave, Cumberland; Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Wilson, Mrs. J. M. Wilson, Mr. Carl Wilson, Mr. Robert M. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Scott, and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Richards all of Zanesville.
