Mrs. Waterman Dead
Mrs. Elvina P. Waterman, whose serious illness was spoken of in the last issue of the Herald, passed away at the residence of her son, Mr. C. E. Cochran, at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. She was born at Wheeling, on April 11, 1818, her maiden name being Williams. In 1838 she was married to John L. Cochran, and in a short time after the marriage moved to McConnelsville. To them were born six children, three sons and three daughters, of whom all are living with the exception of one son.
In 1850 Mr. Cochran died and his wife afterward married Flavius Waterman, who died many years ago, leaving one son, who yet survives.
Mrs. Waterman’s death was due entirely to the infirmities of advanced age. The funeral took place yesterday at 2 o’clock from the residence of her son, C. E. Cochran, the remains being deposited in the McConnelsville cemetery. Rev. Cutler conducted the obsequies.
