Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Clarkson Celebrating 48th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. George B. Clarkson of 834 Durban drive are celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary today. Mrs. Clarkson is the former Miss Bessie Wilson.
Clarkson was one of the first linotype operators in the city of Zanesville and during the year 1899 was employed in the composing room of the Signal, when it was published at Second and Main streets.
He has been a member of the International Typographical Union for more than 50 years, but has been recently retired.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarkson have no children.
They left Zanesville to make their residence in Cleveland where they lived for 20 years, then moved to New York and New Jersey. They returned to this city about three years ago and are today receiving the congratulations and good wishes of their many friends.
