Two Killed in Auto Crash at Mineral City
New Philadelphia O., Dec. 17 – An automobile accident today had claimed the lives of two men Francis Murray, 23, and John Shroyer, 23, while George Scroyer, 19, escaped the fate of his companions.
The car carrying the tree men plunged into Huff run near Mineral City north of here yesterday after crashing thru a bridge guard rail. George Shroyer extracated himself and summoned aid. Resuscitation was attempted on the two men for several hours after their recovery from the creed. It was futile. They had been pinned beneath the submerged auto.
Murray’s brother Walter was killed in an airplace crash just three miles from the scene of yesterday’s tragedy on October 14, 1924.
