New Phila. Child Burned To Death When Mother Uses Coal Oil To Start Fire
New Philadelphia, O., Nov. 18 – Funeral arrangements were being made today for 7-year-old Ruth Hattery who was fatally burned when fire partially destroyed the family home Monday. Her mother, Mrs. Clara Hattery and a brother, Clarence, 10, were severely burned.
The blaze started when Mrs. Hattery used coal oil in making a fire in the kitchen stove.
