J. C. Rodgers Dies After Long Illness
James Clifford Rodgers, 83, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at his home, 1090 Linden avenue, after a long illness.
Mr. Rodgers was born April 22, 1881 in Ironton, a son of James and Amanda Potter Rodgers. He had formerly been an inspector for Douglas Aircraft in California and retired in 1948. He returned to Zanesville in 1953.
He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
Surviving are the widow, Fannie Thompson Rodgers, a sister, Miss Marie Crawford of Ashland, Ky., and a nephew, W. C. Crawford, also of Ashland.
The body was taken to the Blue Avenue chapel of Bolin Funeral Home where friends may call.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Father Jack Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
