Harry L. Amos
Harry L. Amos, 74, 11090 Liberty Hi Rd., Portage, died last week at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green.
He was born May 19, 1910, in Wood County to Jesse L. and Florence (Stacey) Amos. He married Josephine H. Musse June 13, 1937, and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Beverly I. Ledy, Rudolph; Mrs. Judith I. Bateson, Portage;Deborah J. Amos, Rudolph; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, William, of Portage; a sister, Mrs. Marie McGill, Bowling Green; and a half sister, Mrs. Cathy Mossberger, Desher.
Amos was employed as a machinist with the Abbey Etna Machine Co., Perrysburg, retiring in 1973. He was also a farmer and livestock dealer, and retired from those occupations in 1982. He was a member of the Portage Mt. Zion Church, the Wood County Farmers Union. He was a former committeeman in the Wood County Democratic Party.
Funeral services were held at the Dunn Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial was at the Wingston Cemetery, Rudolph.
