Know all men by these presents that we Daniel Shroyier and Martha Shroyier wife of the said Daniel Shroyier of the County of Wood and State of Ohio in consideration of four hundred dollars paid by Samuel Aulis of the same place have and do hereby bargain sell and convey unto Samuel Aulis and unto his heirs and assigns forever the following premises in Wood County Ohio to wt; and bounded as follows north half of the west half of the south east quarter of section two containing forty acres in township four north of range eleven with the exception of five acres that I (Daniel Shroyier) sold to Frederick Amos of from the north west corner of said lot. To have and to hold said premises with their appurtenances unto said Samuel Aulis his heirs and assigns forever. And said Daniel Shroyier and Martha Shroyier his wife for themselves their heirs ___ doth hereby covenant with the said Samuel Aulis his heirs and assigns that the said premises are free and clear of all encumbrances whatsoever; that they have good right and lawful authority to sell and onvey the premises as aforesaid and will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said Samuel Aulis his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In witness whereof the said Daniel Shroyier and Martha Shroyier have hereunto set their hands and seals this eleventh day of November anno domino eighteen hundred and fifty seven.

The State of Ohio Wood County ss. Before me a Justice of the Peace within and for said county personally appeared the above named Daniel Shroyier and Martha Shroyier and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed and the said Martha Shroyier being at the same time examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said conveyance made known to her by me she then declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith this eleventh day of November AD 1857.
