Know all men by these presents that we Daniel Shroyer and Martha Shroyer wife of the said Daniel Shroyer of the County of Wood in the State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of forty five dollars to them paid by Frederick Amos of the County of Wood and State of Ohio the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Frederick Amos his heirs assigns forever the following premises situate in the County of Wood in the State of Ohio and describe as follows to wit commencing at the north west corner of the west half of the west half of the south east quarter of section two (2) township four (4) north of range eleven (11) thence forty rods (40) south thence twenty (20) rods east thence forty rods north thence twenty rods west to the place of beginning containing five acres, To have and to hold the said granted premises with the appurtenances unto the said Frederick Amos his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Daniel Shroyer and his said wife for themselves and their heirs do hereby covenant with the said Frederick Amos his heirs and assigns that until the execution and delivery of these presents they were lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid, that the said granted premises are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever, and that they will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said Frederick Amos his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof the said Daniel Shroyer and his said wife Martha Shroyer have hereunto set their hands and seals this thirteenth day of February AD 1857.

Signed sealed and acknowledged in presence of us Ezra Morgan George Amos
State of Ohio Wood County ss; On this thirteenth day of February AD 1857 before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace in and for said county personally appeared the above named Daniel Shroyer and Martha Shroyer his wife and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above deed of conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed for the purpose therein mentioned; and the said Martha Shroyer being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband touching the execution of said deed and the contents thereof being then made known to her by me she thereupon declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same without the fear or coercion of her said husband and that she is still satisfied therewith.
