Know all men by these presents that we Wilkes Bozman and Susannah Bozman his wife of the County of Morgan in the State of Ohio for and in consideration of the sum of sixteen hundred dollars lawful money of the United States to us paid in hand by Robert McConnell late of Belmont County now of Morgan County and State of Ohio the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge and are therewith contented and satisfied have given granted bargained sold aliened and conveyed and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said Robert McConnell and to his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situated in Morgan County and State of Ohio and being the South East quarter of Section twenty six of Township eleven in Range twelve in the district of Land sold at Zanesville Ohio To Have and to Hold the said granted and bargained premises with all the appurtenances privileges and co________ the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Robert McConnell with his heirs and assigns forever to their ____ proper use benefit and behoof forever as a good perfect and absolute estate in fee simple; and we the said Wilkes Bozman and Susannah his wife for ourselves and our heirs executors ___ administrators, do covenant with the said Robert McConnell his heirs and assigns that before and until the sealing and delivery of these presents we are lawfully seized in fee of the above granted and bargained premises and appurtenances, that we have good right full power and lawful lauthority in us to sell and convey th__ ___to the said Robert McConnell that the said premises are free from all former gifts grants or other incumbrance whatever, and that we do and will warrant _____ and defend the same to Robert McConnell his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims or demonad of all and every person or persons whomsoever

Morgan County I Samuel Stewart an acting Justice of the Peace for said County do hereby certify that on this third day of May eighteen eighteen hundred and thirty seven personally appeared before me the above named Wilkes Bozman the signer and sealer of the foregoing deed of conveyance and acknowledged the same and the signing and sealing thereof to be his voluntary act and deed at the same time personally appeared before me Susannah Bozman wife of the said Wilkes Bozman _____ also signer and sealer of the foregoing deed and she the said Susannah Bozman being examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said deed being made known to her by me she the said Susannah Bozman on said examination did acknowledge and declare that she voluntarily and of her own free will and account and without fear or coercion of her husband did and now does acknowledge the signing and sealing thereof and that she is still satisfied therewith
