Philip Shroye Will
In the name of God Amen. I, Philip Shroyer of Lower Manahoy Township Northumberland County in the State of Pennsylvania being very sick and weak of body, but of sound mind, memory, & understanding blessed be God for the former, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit. Principally and first of all I recommend my immortal into the hands of God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in decent and Christian like manner at the disposition of my executors herein after named, and also to such worldly Estate where with it hath pleased God to bless me in this life. I give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit. First it is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses by duly paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently can be after my decease. Item. I Give and bequeath unto my dear wife Catharine one bed and bedding, one iron pot, and other necessary furniture fitting for one room, to her, her heirs, and assigns forever. Further I give to my wife the whole and and sole use of all my farm and personal property so long as she remains my widow. She during the said time to bear the expense of raising my minor children or until my son Philip arrives to the age of twenty one years at which time it is my will and I do hereby direct that my Executors herein after named or the survivor of them shall by public sale sell my real estate and convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers as fully and amply as I could do if then alive and should my wife marry or die before my said son Philip should arrive to the years of twenty one, it is then my will and I do direct that my said Executors or the survivor of them shall within one year sell my said estate and the same to be divided in manner and form following to and among my six children herein after names their heirs and assigns forever. Item I give to my said wife Catharine her heirs and assigns fifty pounds to be paid to her out of the first money of the sale of my place, if at that time she should be alive. And the rest of al the money arising out of the sale of my Estate real and personal to be divided to and among my six children Catharine, Philip, John, Adam, Jacob and Peter their heirs and assigns share and share alike they receiving the same in rotation as they become of age and the said shares of my said children to be put to interest by my said Executors or the survivor of them for the use of my said children until they arrive to the years of maturity. And as touching the Dower which my mother Hannah Shroyer has to receive form me by agreement made with her for that purpose, shall hereafter be yearly paid to her by my heirs or Executors herein named and of the ____ of my whole Estate. And lastly I nominate and constitute and appoint my trusty and loving friends John Sholtz and John Misener both of Lower Mahanoy Township Northumberland County to be the Executors of this my will, hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and bequests by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 28th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen.

Be it remembered that on the 22 day of March 1815 before me John L. Finney Regr personally appeared Jacob Shotz and John Bobb two of the subscribing witnesses to the above Will and being duly sworn according to law did depose and say that were personally present and did see Philip Shroyer the Testator sign with his mark the above as and for his last Will and Testament that at the time of so doing he the Testator was of sound mind, memory, and understanding, that they witnessed the same in the presence and at the request of Testator and in the presence of each other and that the names Jacob Sholz and John Bobb subscribed thereto as Witnesses are of deponents hand writing and further deponents say ___. Jacob Sholz & Johannes Bobb. Sworn and subscribed the 22 day of March 1815 before Jno L. Finney Regr.
Be it remembered
That on the 22 day of March 1815 before me John L. Finney Regr was proved and approved the last Will and Testament of Philip Shroyer late of Lower Mahanoy Township deceased of which the preceding is a true copy, and that letters Testamentary in due and common form of law were granted unto John Sholz and John Misiner Executors mentioned therein.
