George Russell to Joseph Barrow
Filed for record May 5th A.D. 1831 Recorded July 30th A.D. 1831
Know all men by these presents that we George Russell and Elizabeth Russell wife of said George Russell of the County of Morgan in the State of Ohio, for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to us in hand paid by Joseph Barrow of the County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, have given granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Joseph Barrow his heirs and assigns forever, a certain piece of Land situated in Township ten of Range twelve and Section two, to be taken off of the West half of the North East quarter of said Section, beginning at the N.E. corner of said half quarter thence running South forty eight rods, thence East eighty rods, thence North forty eight rods, thence West eighty rods to the place of beginning, containing twenty-four acres.
To have and to hold unto the said Joseph Barrow his heirs and assigns forever, hereby covenanting with him, and them to warrant and defend the same against the lawful claims and demands of all persons whatsoever.
