In the name of God Amen on the twenty eighth day of August in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifteen. I, Mathew Stacy of the Town of New Lisbon in the County of Columbiana in the State of Ohio being in perfect mind and good memory although very weak in body therefore calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament this is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executor nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to endow me with I do devise and dispose of it in the following manner and form. Item, I do allow my lawful debts and funeral charges to be paid out of my estate. Item, I do all to my beloved wife Jane her bed and body cloths and spinning wheel and all the household furniture during her natural life. Item, I do allow my wife to hold my said property during her natural life and after her decease I will and bequeath my said property that is to say the north half of lot number two hundred and twelve on Market Street to my youngest son Mathew Stacy. Item, I do allow my son Mathew Stacy to pay to four of my children twenty five dollars to each of them or to their heirs namely Thomas, Sarah, May and John Stacy after the decease of my wife. Item, I do not allow my son William Stacy to have any share of my real property as I have gave him a title for the south half of the aforesaid lot. Item, I do allow my daughter May to have my bureau [?] after the decease of my wife and also my daughter Sarah shall have my large Bible after the decease of my wife. Item, I do likewise constitute, make and ordain my son William Stacy to be my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament giving him full power of all and of my property both real and personal which may be to sell or to convey after the decease of my wife and I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and dis___ all other wills or legacies by me made satisfying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written. Signed sealed and pronounced this to be my last will and testament in presence of us.
