Special Club Program
The New Era club met Monday evening at the Simpson library. Mrs. Maude Cochran and Mrs. Maude Black were in charge of the program.
Mrs. Corinne Ralston presided and during the opening business session, Mrs. Nettie Dougan was admitted to the club.
Mrs. Cochran’s sister, Mrs. A. S. Herzer of Zanesville, gave an interesting review of the book, “Snow Goose,” by Paul Galion.
Mrs. Eleanor Elliott of Santa Ana, Calif., a sister of Mrs. Black, gave two short dramatic sketches and a talk on the Mexican national labor situation in California.
Guests present were: Mrs. Louise O’Nan of Kansas City, Mrs. Gladys Lawrence, Mrs. Goldie Ott, Mrs. Beatrice Shoyer, and the guest speakers, Mrs. Herzer and Mrs. Elliott.
The club will meet in two weeks at the library with Mrs. Frances Scott and Mrs. Besse Spence in charge.
