Annie
I received of Yours of 22nd this month and John went down immediately to the telegraph office and sent you $40 in care of CPT as there was no money order office at home so if you still think it best to come out you will have the means to come. We have located some land and intend to go to work on it immediately if we can pull through the first year we can make money on it after that. We can no more than make a living if we stay in town unless we get some stead imployment. Which we could do probably if we tried but we would rather work for ourselves than under someone else. We have got a good piece of land 30 miles from town and think that in a few years it will bring us heavy returns. We could not find two full (farms?) together but found one of 160 and one of 60 acres together. The Postal which Hattie Robert wrote must have miscarried as she wrote one at the same time as myself. John and I walked in from our place Sunday. We started at 7:30 and got in town at five thirty. We will be very busy now getting some things out on our place and getting some thing out there to live in. I suppose you can read this writing but it will be hard work to do it.
Yours for the best
Hugh
