Know all men by these presents that we Robert McConnel and Mary McConnel wife of said Robert of the Township of Muskingum in the state of Ohio for and in consideration of the sum of twenty two dollars lawful money of the United Sates To us in hand paid the receipt whereof we do herby acknowledge and are there with contented and satisfied. Have given granted bargained sold aliened and conveyed and by these presents do truly fully and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said John L. Cochran his heirs and assigns forever a certain Lot of Land situate in the Town of McConnelsville County of Morgan and state of Ohio containing one fifth part of an acre known on said Town plot by lot number thirty four as will appear ____ the record entered by the said Robert McConnel in the ____ of the records of Washington County twenty sixth day of April eighteen hundred and Seventeen. To Have and to Hold the said granted and bargained premises with all the appurtenances privileges and commodities to the same belonging or any wise appertaining to the said John L. Cochran his heirs and assigns that the said premises are free from all ____ gifts grants or other encumbrances whatever and that we do and will warrant _____ and defend the same to the said John L. Cochran his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims or demands of all and very person or persons whatsoever. In Witness whestof we hereunto set our hands and seals the second day of May A.D. Eighteen hundred and Twenty and the forty ____ year of the Independence of the United States of America

Muskingum County Personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the county aforesaid Robert McConnel and Mary his wife who severally acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above instrument to be their voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and intended and desired the same to be recorded as such. Likewise the said Mary McConnel being examined separate and apart from her said husband and being first made fully acquainted with the contents of the above deed acknowledged that they executed the same freely and of hir own good will without any constraint or coercion from hir said husband and that she fully relinquished hir right of dower to said primises.
