Know all Men by these Presents:
That We Charles Gage and Mary S. Gage Wife of Charles Gage of the City of St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Five Hundred ($3,500.00) to us in hand paid by Hugh M. Cochran, Cleason B. Bozman, and Joseph F. Sotheir heirs and assigns forever,
The following Lands and tenements situate in the Incorporate Village of McConnelsville Morgan Co Ohio and being all the Land West of Main & South of Water Streets & between the said Street and the Muskingum River and Known as the ôGage Foundry propertyö Together with all the appurtenances in Boiler Engine Cupola & Slactr in the foundry building & main line of Shafting the same to be forever subject to a lease given by Chas Gage to James M Edwards
and all the Estate, Title, and Interest of Charles Gage and Mary S. Gage
either in law or in Equity, of, in and to said premises:
To Have and to Hold the said granted premises with all the appurtenances and prevlidges to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining to the said Hugh M. Cochran, Cleason B. Bozman, Joseph F. Sonenstine their heirs and assigns forever, to their own or proper use, benefit and behoof, as a good and indefeasibleestate of fee simple.
And We the said Charles Gage and Mary S. Gage
for ourselves our heirs, executors, and adminsitrators, do covenant with the said Charles Gage his heirs and assigns, that before and until the sealing and delivering of these presents, We were lawfully seized in fee of the above granted premises and appurtenances; we have good right, full power, and lawful authority, to sell and convey the same to the said Grantees their heirs & assigns whatever, and that We do and will WARRANT AND DEFEND the same unto said Grantees their heirs and assigns forever, against the lawful claims of all persons whomever. In Witness Whereof, The said Charles Gage and Mary S. Gage who hereby releases her right and expectancy of dower in the said premises, has hereunto set their hand and seal on this 14th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixth Eight

I, Joel G. Harper an acting Commisioner of deeds for Ohio which and for the County aforesaid, do hereby certify, that on this 14th day of July A. D., eighteen hundred and Sixty Eight before me personally appeared Charles Gage and Mary S. Gage his wife grantors of the foregoing Deed, and acknowledged the signing and sealing thereof to be their voluntary act and deed. And the said Mary S. Gage being examined by me separately and apart from her said husband, and the contents of said deed having been by memade known to her, the said Mary S. Gage upon such separate examination. did declare that she did voluntarily sign, seal, and acknowledge the said deed, and that she is still satisfied therewith/
