Reuben Shroyer was a member of the German Baptist Brethern.4 He was a minister from 1883 on, but he also farmed. was a minister from 1883 on, but he also farmed Reuben wrote a number of articles for The Bible Monitor.4 He was one of the orginizers of the Orian congregation of Dunkard Brethren in near North Canton, Stark County, Ohio.5 He was elected to the ministry in 1883.4 Reuben and Irene appeared on the 1900 US Census recorded on 29 June 1900 in Perry Township, Stark County, Ohio, with Lester, Maude, Jacob, Florence, and Paul.6 Reuben and Irene appeared on the 1910 US Census recorded on 20 April 1910 in North Cleveland Avenue East, Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio, with their children Lester, Maude, Jacob, Florence, Paul, and Ray.7 Reuben and Irene appeared on the 1920 US Census recorded on 3 January 1920 in Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio, with their children Jacob, Paul, and Ray.8 He was a member of the committee that organized the withdrawal of the Dunkard Brethren from the Church of the Brethren in 1926 in 1926.5 Reuben appeared on the 1930 US Census recorded on 10 April 1930 in Greentown Village, Lake Township, Stark County.
