Daniel's future wife, Martha Heminger, was listed with her parents on the same census page5 Daniel deeded land in Montgomerty Township, Wood County to Frederick Hemminger on 5 March 1852 in Wood County, Ohio.6 Daniel and Martha deeded five acres to Frederick Amos on 13 February 1857 in Wood County, Ohio.7 Daniel and Martha deeded property to Samuel Ulis on 11 November 1857 in Wood County, Ohio.8 Daniel and Martha appeared on the 1860 US Census recorded on 10 August 1860 in Pike Township, Stark County, Ohio, with John and Leonard. Daniel was listed as David age 45, Martha was 27.
