Mahala Ulis was also known as Mahala Eulis. This census lists a daughter Sarah born in 1889, but this is likely a census error. Daughter Lesta does not appear in this census, but would have been about 8 at the time. Daughter Sarah died in 1885.4 John and Mahala appeared on the 1880 US Census recorded on 1 June 1880 in Sycamore Township, Wyandot County, Ohio, with their daughter Della.
