Lillian M. Fowler was born about 1888 in Ohio.1 She and W. Riley Shroyer were married on 19 June 1909 in Wood County.2 She died on 10 September 1943 in Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio.3
W. and Lillian appeared on the 1920 US Census recorded on 16 January 1920 in 407 E. Read Ave., Bowling Green, Wood County, Ohio, with their sons William and Frank and her children Doris and George Steele. Also listed were a step daughter Doris Steele, a step son George Steele, and a boarder Robert Pultz4 W. and Lillian appeared on the 1930 US Census recorded on 4 April 1930 in Jerry City, Wood County, Ohio, with their sons William, Franklin, and Gerald, Lillian's son George, and Lillian's father Philip C. Fowler. Lillian's son George, and Lillian's father Philip C. Fowler5 Lillian was [-EventRole] in the census1940 in the household of Gerald R. Shroyer 5 April 1940 Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio. in the household of his stepfather John C. Haws. His mother, and his stepbrother George Steele were also in the household as well as two teenaged stepsisters6
