Biography

Eliza Brady was born on 25 January 1812.2 She and John Royston Bozman were married on 17 August 1830 in Muskingum County, Ohio.3,2,4 She died on 16 January 1847, at age 34.5,1 She was buried in McConnelsville Cemetery (McConnelsville), Morgan County.5
She moved to to McConnelsville, Morgan County, in about 1835.6 Eliza was listed as a deceased child in the will of Cleason Brady 15 April 1858 Wabash County, Indiana.7

Biography

Wilkes Edward Bozman was born on 8 August 1831 in Morgan County, Ohio.1,2 He and Aseneth E. Hyatt were married on 18 January 1864 in Morgan County, Ohio.3 He died on 28 April 1898, at age 66, in Argonia, Sumner County, Kansas.4,5,6 He was buried in Argonia Cemetery, Sumner County, Kansas.5
Wilkes was recorded on the 1850 US Census in 1850 in Morgan Township, Morgan County, Ohio, in the household of John Royston Bozman .7 He was a drover in 1850.8 He was among those who left for the California Gold Rush in Morgan County, Ohio, on 29 January 1852. He was in California about nine years.9,10 He registered for the Civil War draft June 1863, in Morgan Township, Morgan County. He was a single 31 year old drover born in Ohio11 He was a farmer in 1870 in Blue Rock Township.12 Wilkes and Aseneth appeared on the 1870 US Census recorded on 29 August 1870 in Blue Rock Township, Muskingum County, Ohio, with Edward and John and Aseneth's daughter Frances. and Aseneth's daughter Frances12 Wilkes was named as an heir in the will of John Royston Bozman on 2 August 1873. He added a codicil 29 November 1875 including his daughter Ella as an heir.13 He was a farmer in 1880 in Blue Rock Township.14 Wilkes and Aseneth appeared on the 1880 US Census recorded on 23 June 1880 in Blue Rock Township, Muskingum County, Ohio, their children Edward, John, and William; Aseneth's daughter Frances with her daughters Eva and Bernice and Aseneth's brother John Hyatt.14 Wilkes was a justice of the peace about 1881 in Blue Rock. a justice of the peace15 Wilkes and Aseneth deeded 320 acres to George W. Conklin on 29 August 1885 in Muskingum County, Ohio. He moved to Argonia, Sumner County, Kansas, about 1886.2 He and Aseneth E. Hyatt were enumerated on the census of 1895 in Argonia, Sumner County, Kansas.16

Biography

Cleason B. Bozman was born on 22 January 1837 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio.1 He and Mary A. Clancy were married on 20 February 1861 in Morgan County, Ohio.2 He and Emma Black were married on 25 March 1868 in Hocking County, Ohio.3 He died on 10 August 1907, at age 70, in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio.4
Cleason was recorded on the 1850 US Census in 1850 in Morgan Township, Morgan County, Ohio, in the household of John Royston Bozman .5 He recieved $43.05 from the estate of his grandfather Wilkes Bozman on 3 March 1858.6 He was a farmer and trader in 1860.7 He registered for the Civil War draft June 1863, in Harrison Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. He was a 26 year old married farmer born in Ohio8 His first wife died on Christmas 1864 leaving him a widower with an infant and a two year old. Cleason was town treasurer from to 1870 in McConnelsville.9 Cleason was was town treasurer from to 1870 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio. town treasurer9 He was a trader and stock dealer in 1870.10 Cleason and Emma appeared on the 1870 US Census recorded on 9 August 1870 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio, with Mary and Charlie. Cleason's daughter Lizzie was not listed on this census.10 He was a stock dealer and trader. He also engaged in other business activities including a bank, C. B. Bozman and Co., which closed.11,4,12,13 Cleason was named as an heir in the will of John Royston Bozman on 2 August 1873. He added a codicil 29 November 1875 including his daughter Ella as an heir.14 He C. B. Bozman and Co. Bankers closed their business in Morgan County, Ohio, in April 1874.13 Cleason witnessed the will of James Watkins, Jr., on 16 October 1876 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio. He added a codicil on 24 October 1876.15 Cleason was a town council member to 1877 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio. town council member9 He was a stock dealer in 1880.16 Cleason and Emma appeared on the 1880 US Census recorded on 10 June 1880 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio, with their children Mary, Lizzie, Bertha, Kathryn, and John.16 Cleason quit claimed property to Mary Royston Bozman 7 April 1890 Morgan County, Ohio. by Cleason and Emma Bozman, Anna and Samuel Koons, Isabella Bozman, Elizabeth Bozman, and Margaret Oliver. Mary's brother Wilkes Edward was out of state and did not sign. Her brother Cleason signed a note which was attached to the deed stating he "would guarantee and protect her title against any or all claims or heirs of creditors of W. E. Bozman."17 He was ill with with large carbuncle on the back of his neck and bedfast. in July 1898. He was still ill the following week18,19 He was a landlord in 1900.20 Cleason and Emma appeared on the 1900 US Census recorded on 12 June 1900 in Union Street, McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio, with their children Bertha, Kathryn, and John.20 He was listed as a stockman on his death certificate in 1907.21

Wilkes owned property in Bristol, Meigsville, and Bloom Townships ...6,7,8 Wilkes was named as an heir in the will of Edward Bozman on 12 October 1796 in Baltimore.9 Wilkes was head of household on the 1810 US Census taken in Mine Run Hundred, Baltimore County, Maryland. 1 male under 10, 1 male 26-45, 3 females under 10, 1 female 10-16, 1 female 45 and over, and one other free person.
