Biography

James C. Peacher was born about 1805 in Virginia.2 He and Judith A. Brent were married on 21 June 1826 in Orange County, Virginia.3
James was head of household on the 1840 US Census taken in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. The household consisted of two males 10 to 14, one male 30 to 39, two females under 5, one female 5 to 9, and one female 30 to 39. Three people were engaged in manufacture and trade.4 He was a carpenter in 1850.2 James and Judith appeared on the 1850 US Census recorded on 28 August 1850 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky, with William, Franklin, Ann, James, John, Jane, Florinda Peacher and Henry Birge.2

Thomas Proctor and Charlotte Brent were married on 14 November 1817 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.1,2,3
He was appointed guardian to Cyrus, Florinda, Judith, William, Robert, and Newton Brent on 7 September 1818 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.4 Thomas was head of household on the 1820 US Census taken in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The household consisted of with three males under ten, one male 10 to 16, one male 26 to 44, one female 10 to 16 and two females 16 to 25. Three persons were engaged in agriculture. There were two slaves; both boys under 14.5
