Biography

William W. Bozman was born on 12 May 1848 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio.1,2 He and Rose J. Bender were married on 18 November 1880 in St. Louis, Missouri.3 He and Augusta Sophia Himburg were married on 15 January 1891 in Hamilton County, Ohio.4 He died on 24 February 1932, at age 83, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.5 He was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery (Cincinnati), Hamilton County, Ohio.6
William W. Bozman was also known as Ira William W. Bozman. William was recorded on the 1860 US Census on 8 June 1860 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio, in the household of Eliza Cotton .7 He recieved $600 from the estate of his grandfather Wilkes Bozman on 15 May 1869.8 William was recorded on the 1870 US Census on 22 August 1870 in McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio, in the household of Eliza Cotton .9 He was a cigar maker in 1880.10 He and Alice Thorn obtained a marriage license in Athens County, Ohio, on 10 May 1880. The marriage apparently did not take place11 William was recorded on the 1880 US Census on 22 June 1880 in Athens, Athens County, Ohio, as a brother in the household of Mary Ruth Bozman . No relationships were listed, but all three men were her brothers. The household was listed immediately before that of her married sister12 He lived in 1890 in 191 West Fourth, Cincinnati.13 He was in the cigar business in 1890.13 He was had a business, Bozman & Brother in 1893 in Cincinnati.14 He lived in 1893 in Cincinnati. at 919 Chase Avenue14,15 He was described as was described as five feet seven inches with a broad forehead, gray eyes, straight nose, round mouth, square chin, dark brown hair, light complexion and oval face. in 1893.15 He was a cigar dealer in 1900.1 William and Augusta appeared on the 1900 US Census recorded on 11 June 1900 in Hamilton Pike, College Hill, Hamilton County, Ohio, with his niece Lucinda Bozman.
