Levi Kemp was born on 5 September 1798.1 He and Mary were married. He died on 27 March 1872, at age 73.2 He was buried in Union Cemetery, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.3
He was baptized on 5 May 1799 in Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. with Peter Ruch and Justina Stroh, single, as sponsors1 Levi was granted property by Gerhard Kempf on 27 March 1837 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. This was the property where Gerhard and Levi were currently living4 He was a farmer in 1850.5 Levi and Mary appeared on the 1850 US Census recorded on 31 August 1850 in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, with Henry, Susah, Elizabeth, Lucetta, Uriah, Rebecca, Sarah, Mary, Elene, Alexander, Maria, and Matilda.5
