Irven Travis was born on 17 August 1849 in Morgan County, Ohio.2 He and Jennie Whipple were married on 24 October 1876 in her parents' home, Morgan Township, Morgan County.3 He died on 15 February 1938, at age 88, in his home, McConnelsville, Morgan County, Ohio.4,2 He was buried on 17 February 1938 in McConnelsville Cemetery (McConnelsville), Morgan County, Ohio.5,6,2
